Silvia Miranda
Consultant Counselling Psychologist

Every relationship begins with one essential connection – the one you have with yourself.

As the founder of The Dating Psychologist, my mission is simple: to help people understand themselves, become the best version of themselves, and build the kind of relationship that feels emotionally safe, deeply aligned with their values, and genuinely fulfilling.

For over twenty years, I have dedicated my career to understanding what truly drives human connection, why we love, why we lose, and how we grow. In my work as a Consultant Practitioner Counselling Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist across the UK NHS, the Ministry of Defence, and private practice, I helped individuals find strength, clarity, and confidence in how they relate to themselves and others.

I have dedicated my career to understanding what truly drives human connection, why we love, why we lose, and how we grow. My work as a Consultant Practitioner Counselling Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist across the UK NHS, the Ministry of Defence, and private practice has taken me to create transformative spaces where individuals rediscover emotional clarity, trust, and self-worth and reconnect with their confidence and sense of self.

I bring together the science of psychology and the art of human relationships, blending evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with trauma-informed practices like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. This combination allows each session to be both grounded in science and deeply personal, guiding clients towards meaningful change that lasts.

My approach is intuitive, compassionate, and results-driven. Whether helping someone move past heartbreak, navigate modern dating, or build emotional resilience, healing begins with self- understanding, and, at its core, love is psychological growth in motion.

I aim to help those who are ready for love but tired of repeating old patterns. I developed a specific model called UShhhh, which provides the clarity, confidence and emotional grounding needed to form genuine connections. It is where psychology meets human connection, combining scientific understanding with real-world dating guidance.

When we understand ourselves, love becomes less about searching and more about growing. If you are ready to move forward with self-awareness, purpose, and genuine connection, this is where your change begins. If you are prepared to understand yourself more deeply and create relationships that truly work, you are in the right place.
